    My Birthday Suprises!!!

One of my twin sisters came over today with my birthday card. "Here you go", she said presenting me with a canvas, "I painted it today, so, it will need 6 weeks to dry."
Aaaaaahhhhh! I feel so honoured! She was worried that it didn't look exactly the same as my photograph. But it doesn't matter. The thought and love that has gone into it means so much to me!
Then BOTH my twin sisters turn up at my house this evening. Hubby had arranged for my other twin sister to make me a birthday cake! A Canon EOS 40D no less!!!
    Waaaaahhhhh!!! I cried sooooo much!!!

    Thanks guys

Hmmm not sure why they weren't showing frog.

Well, if my cake and painting wasn't enough I came down this morning to find that one of my twin daughters had made, and left these, on my desk!

Check out the little camera they made from paper!

    Lovely presents

    Are those little cameras 35mm, 127, or 120 ?
You could try this http://www.pinhole.cz/en/pinholecameras/dirkon_01.html and see what you come up with ... might interest them to see a paper camera working.

    Re: My Birthday Suprises!!!

    Thanks guys!

My other twin daughter made me these...

... and my 8 year old made me this! Telescopo? lol. Don't ask! I love it though. It's from the heart so it means alot. (I think my 11 year old helped her out alot with that lol)

My oldest daughter turned up with a card and some chocolates and gave me my orders that I was to go out for a meal with hubby.

While I was gone my 15 year old made me Vegetable Lasagne for my tea followed by Apple Crumble with Custard. (And yes, both the Lasagne and Crumble are totally home-made by her).

Wow! What an awesome family I have!

    Re: My Birthday Suprises!!!

Alison, how old did you say you are? I believe an earlier post mentioned the age of 24. Yet, you mention a 15 and an 11 year old. Hmmm. You sure must have started awful young in life. What the heck. You sure do seem to have one dandy of a family.

Happy Birthday, Alison! You need to post a photo of that cake on the Canon forum. That's not a request, either. It's a demand! :-)

I'd like to see a photo of you trying to take a picture with the cake

What a great idea! Unfortunately, you mentioned it too late! I've cut it now!
But my daughter got a pic of me with the cake just before I cut it. (I think I'll leave the modelling to my daughters!)
