    Re: Mug

Geeky, a word that has never been used to describe me, but I want one.
    Not at that price though.
Be a cold day in Hell before I pay 50 bucks for a mug no matter what it looks like.

    Re: Mug

That's because they made their debut at the retailing mecca that are the Olympics. They immediately went viral, and supply has not been able to meet demand. Originally, it was a replica of a Canon 70-200 mm L lens that was given to photographers covering the Vancouver Winter Olympics.

I'm guessing that they were never meant to be mass-produced, but as long as people are willing to pay such outrageous prices.....

edit: take another look at the link: 100 sold, listing has ended. Case in point.

I want one so bad, but I'm not paying $53 (the newly listed price). Maybe someday they'll come down....

    Cool Re: Mug

Now that is cool! But it's not in my coffee mug budget!

If I could use it on my camera, I could take it out of my photography budget (which isn't that much either anymore).

    Re: Mug

I like my lenses but have never hugged one before, PJ.

I don't think coffee would taste as good with one of those Canon mugs.
