    Re: Meteor Shower This Weekend

Did anyone else go out? I took about 400 exposures and haven't gone through them all but I did get some meteors. I left the house at about 4:15 am and went to a nice nearby recreation area with little light pollution and interesting rock formations. I had the K-5 going on it's timer with the DA 15mm and my K-x with an 8mm fisheye on another tripod.
It seems the Orionids are particularly small, dim, and fast which makes this a challenging exercise. Lucky for me they were also numerous so I could have many attempts!
Here are a few I thought worked pretty well.

Nice Matt. I only saw a couple and didn't catch one.

Thanks! Here's one more, a composite I put together last night of six exposures. Five of meteors and one of the rocks.
