    In Memory Of...

I hung a flag at my home yesterday, it was something I have wanted to do for a long time.
It's not exactly what I had in mind for such a thing, but it will have to do. If I could, I would have biggest flag on the tallest pole in my neighborhood.
My wife and I bought this flag as part of a unit fundraiser nearly two years ago. Attached to each pole was a yellow ribbon with name, rank, home town, place and date of death on it.
So I hung my flag in memory of Richard Eaton of Connecicut, he died in Iraq on 12 August 2003.
God Bless you Richard. God Bless your family.

    Don't weep for me
    O' land of the free,
When it was my time to fall
    'Twas for my country's call
'Twas for the land that I loved
    That I gave my all,
And for the land that I loved
    I did freely give,
And in her freedom and her
    courage
    I'll continue to live.

    Cool Re: In Memory Of...

This is a wonderful tribute. Thank you for posting it today. I was very touched.

I'm going out to get a flag pole today since my nice fiberglass one split down at the bottom from a big windstorm.
