    May I brag?

My 13 year old daughter and I entered some photographs in our local fair. Today was the judging and we attended as one of the judges is an awesome teacher and he takes the time to explain things and show what is good about a photo and what could make it better. Back to my daughter - she is in the Jr. class for 13 - 18 year olds - and felt quite overwhelmed. They give every entry a ribbon - either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd and then choose a champion and reserve champion. Kylie received 2 1st place ribbons and a 3rd place ribbon. Then the judges chose her color photo for reserve champion. She took the photos, choose the crop, and mounted them herself. All I did was print them for her! I'm so proud of her!!!! Here are her 2 blue ribbon winners.

Thank you - I think she has great potential. The rest is up to her. Alison - does that mean you don't like my photography?

She has a digital, but not a DSLR. I wish I could afford to get her one - but I can't and she isn't responsible enough for one either. She uses a Kodak Easyshare right now.

No not at all. It was a joke implying you have some competition on ya hands (Sorry if you thought otherwise)

I only shoot people, I'm useless at all the other stuff! Heck maybe she could give me some lessons LOL

It's hard to read 'infliction' when people type that you would hear if they were speaking. Yes, I think she could give me a run for my money! She's got GREAT instincts - now if she'll find the patience to learn technique!!
