    Exclamation The Lefty

Howdy everyone....I ride a Cannondale Mountain Bike, it's a lefty ( single-sided front suspension fork) Just came back from a 15 mile ride, did some thinkin' Then I thought some more.
Our sports moderator [ PAul ] is currently left handed & not by choice. So while PAul is healing and getting stronger...let's see what we as a photographic community can do to help.
I know that PAul likes gagets & gizmos... It looks like 1/2 half the world has been in this "Lefty" situation at some time or another (no pun intended) Like I posted earlier... "Hang in there PAul...we're pullin' for ya"

This is a thread on the topic "lefty" Please add any links, pics. or ideas pertaining to A Left-Handed camera.--- > DSLR <---

    I'll start this off.

1.Ken Rockwell may still have this one-of-a-kind Custom Nikon F100. But, will he sell it?
    2. Great idea...use your pinky too & the neck strap.
    3. Another good one...safe & secure

--> Stabilize Your Camera with Some PVC Pipe

Tons of info on the web. Let's all do a little research, post our findings here. That's the assignment folks.

    Re: The Lefty

I actually shot my Nikon F for years with my left hand and triggered my shutter with my left index finger. I had an "L" bracket that i would put my external flash on top of the grip and it also had a trigger on the grip. There was also a metal cable release that screwed into the bottom front of the grip and went over and screwed into a ring around the shutter. When the trigger on the "L" grip bracket was squeezed it pressed the shutter down and took the picture. I will see if I can find it and take a picture so everyone can see it.

Paul's camera probably doesn't have a way to hook up something like this but if he had an "L" bracket with a wired remote taped to it wouldn't it work just as well. Press the remote down half way to focus and the rest of the way to activate the shutter. Just a thought, Jeff

How about this grip? This would make the camera more balanced. Screw this into the tripod mount with the remote tapped to the side and activated with his left thumb. This way he could use the camera that he is use to.

My first thought when Paul mentioned he needed to go lefty for a while was something like this - the Canon Remote Switch RS-80N3
