Looking At You, Looking At Me

We had another mini-photogathering planned for this past weekend. Hoping to spend the weekend at Cape Lookout and take photo's. Instead, we ended up staying on Shackleford (the weather was too rough to get over to the Cape), and hoped for a break in the weather. No such luck, but we took a few photo's. Half of my photo's were of my buddies. First shot is of Brian, taking a photo of me (why I don't know!). Next couple of shots are of Brian modelling. Last shot is of Brad.

Note the sunny skies and calm conditions - NOT!

    If There Was Any Doubt...

That we were there to stay, check out the boat. We tried to keep it off the bottom, but the low tide got ahead of us.

Taken at various times of the day, and many moves in between.

When we left on Sunday morning, we had to push the boat off the bottom into deeper water. Again, note the nice weather we had. ;-)

    Tell Brian...

he might not want to give up his day job just yet! Looks like it was a cool, blustery day.

What kind of camera is Brian shooting with? Looks like an antique! I'm so used to everyone I know shooting digital that it seems odd for people to still shoot manual, except for very specific type shots (night shots for example).

Of course. Specifically, a Nikon FE. Yes, it does seem odd seeing someone shooting with a manual camera in this day and age. Here's another stat for you - Brian bought his first autofocus camera this year! Yes, you read that right, this year! He's actually a few years older than me, and has always owned manual cameras.

His brother in law owns a N90 and talked Brian into getting one. He's taken it out a couple of times, but this trip wasn't one of them. Here are a few shots of him shooting with his N90 last month. I believe this was the second time he used it.
