But in the links that i post if you look at the bottom corner of the camera one says 300d and the other says digital rebal.

Are they different cameras?

I think it's called the Digital Rebel here in the USA and called the 300D in other parts of the world - correct? I know Nikon does this often - they have the N80 for the US and F80 for Europe for example, same camera.

That is right AV. If you live in the states you should purchase the rebel D and if you live abroad it should be the 300D. You could get the 300D if you like, but you will most likely have a void warranty, or oter such troubles.

The max speed is the same 777. 1/14000 is a typo. They are the same camera with all the same specs.

You should be looking at the Nikon D70 if you want the best in this class. Canon beats Nikon in my opinion, but the D70 is just a better camera than the Rebel IMO.
