    Long weekend photos

I didn't go to work on Monday

Here a few pics from the weekend

Click on the pics to see them larger

Saturday ended with a cool looking sunset
    Sunset

Sunday , we drove to Jocotepec, a town on the shore of Chapala , largest lake in Mexico
(large enough to be seen on a map of the whole country), the light was going down, so there are only a couple of shots from that trip

    Formation
The water on the shore had a murky brown color, so I made a selective B&W

While I have lived in Guadalalajara since 1984, it is my first time in this place, incredible enough it is only 1 hr drive away

Monday: Drove again to Jocotepec, there are many interesting birds that I wanted to shoot with better light

    Plenty of white herons

    Some blue herons

This walkboard is closed to the public, but the herons don't care much about it being closed.

Before going back to the car saw this little fellow jumping around on the trees, this image
is a 100% crop, I couldn't get closer before it flew away, although it was gracious enough
    to step of the shade
    Sneaky little guy

    That's all folks

Wow. I don't know if you want my company, but I would have been happy to do any of these. The first one is just gob smackingly cool.

I like the darker heron shot and the last one as well. I think there is a big overlap between your aesthetic and mine. I don't mean to insult you by saying so.

Mute with awe -- Very nice! Love the birds at attention, the dramatic yellow bird, and dark blue heron and the "yellow brick road"

IMHO you had a very productive weekend of pics. I commented on three of these in the gallery just missed this thread somehow.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Very fruitful weekend Armando...great shots there, this time I hvae several favorites from the batch...the fisrt one has a killer sky and composition great PP work!
No2 you nail it perfectly with the selective color, and number four is a great image by itself, love the angle of the shot...bolds nicely the wingspan of the subject.
