    Long walk on the strip

Spent 5 hours walking non stop visiting the Vegas strip. I love exercising while taking photos I think the blazing heat got to me because out of the 120 photos I took, only 5 of them came out close to what I wanted.

    Lions at the MGM hotel.

    Feeding time!

People taking photos of the lions and trainers as they passed overhead.

The silhouette on the left is actually the lion and the one on the right is the shoes of the trainers.

    Still lots of construction here.

Didn't know what to make of this lol

Re: Long walk on the strip

I like to carry the camera and get my exercise walks in too. Just end up never knowing what to take and what not.
I really like your next to last shot. The composition with all the angles of the different buildings grabs my eye. Worth shooting in better light, me thinks.
    Keep Shooting!

It's a great place to visit. Not sure about doing it in the summer though.

You've got some great shots in there. Don't know that I would go walking around in the heat like that, but it was obviously worth it. I'm guessing some night time shots of the city would be awesome.

Thanks Frog. I think the angles and shapes of the buildings are nice as well, Im going back to Los Angeles tomorrow and will be back in Vegas in about a week. I hope to take some more shots of these buildings again around sun rise where the nice light is.

Ya, after all that walking in the heat I finally went back home and as I opened my door my legs suddenly locked up and I almost fell down lol. I had room for all my camera gear but underestimated how much water I needed. One 16 ounce bottle is not enough.

Today I went out again to shoot the outside entertainment at night but I brought the wrong equipment. I was worried that people might steel my cameras so I went with a small dslr and a tiny manual 50mm f1.4 lens. I wished I went with an AF lens because its tough to manually focus in dim light. I will post some night shots when I get get done sorting them I think I got some so-so pics from it.
