    Lady Lister

    Hamilton's Famous Lister Block...

Taken a few weeks after the one building attached to the actual block collapsed.

This was the very first shot I took of the Lister Block Arcade. Back in 2006.

From my last trip into the Lister Block shortly after the collapse.

In the section that was to eventually collapse.

    The room of Riddles.

Not all of the Block has fancy designs, some of it is rather plain.

There has been many arson attempts at the block. But the people who designed her learned from the loss of the Lister Corners (the building that preceeded the Block), and built her to be fire resistant.

Light in the windows (Three people, two with SB-600 flashes, one with a SB-800, manually fired.)

    Who watches the watchers.

    Something's coming.

I like your abandoned buildings shots a lot, Alex.
In this group the old hair salon shot stands out for me.

Great group, like the idea of using others to flash while you shoot.

Alex, for those of us who do not know Hamilton and the Lister Block, could you give us a bit of history - I am assuming it is the remains of an office and services building, or did also have apartments? Thanks.

Great images by the way. I too am a fan of old buildings, but mostly farm buildings.

    Cheers,

    WesternGuy
