    Congratulations!

    Megan-
Very cool. And your image is great. It's a tossup for me between your image and the first place piece. I love them both. The third place image took me a minute. And once I got it I loved it. Post more toy camera photos in the gallery! We've got a dedicated gallery with unlimited space - use it! And tell other toy camera users to use it, too. I want more toy camera action on this site!

Did you get any kind of trinket to honor your achievement? A ribbon? A medal? A disc camera?

    You wuz ROBBED!....

Congrats, Megan. Personally, I cannot see anything more special about the winning image, so obviously your second place finish was politically motivated!

    Ain't that always the way?????

BTW, no offense, but I LOVE the third place pic, the "headless" person with the dog. Sure, it's a straight shot, but to me, that's the perfect "anti-photo" that toy cameras are capable of producing...

No offense taken. The show is AMAZING - and I'm proud to be a part of it, no matter what place.

Indeed, a nice little gift certificate, and I've been drooling over the Freestyle website trying to figure out which Holga accessories (and FILM!) to get.

    Hi Megan,

Congrats! Maybe I just don't get the first place winner, but I think yours is by far the best. Very creative. It took me a minute to see what you did. (I'm new to Holgaworld) Looks like it would be very difficult to pull off as well as you did it.

Congratulation (bells, whistles, fireworks, and so forth). Interesting photos it looks like among the winners. Have you posted your prize winner here?

When I took my first college photo class, our teacher took us to the Freestyle store in Hollywood. I'll never forget that trip. That was the beginning of serious photography for me. I bought my first development tank, first paper, bulk roller, etc.

By the way, I've got a bulk roller of some sort of black and white film in my fridge. First one that asks nicely takes it

Re: Krappy Kamera show in NYC

No, I never posted it here... I'm still trying to exhibit a lot of the work from the solo show, and I need to be careful about how and where it's seen. Not a slam on the site at all - you know I love this site... But I'm serious about my artwork and I need to treat it as such, and maintain some sort of exclusivity, at least while I'm actively showing it in galleries.
