    Kinda like Loren,

I finally got a roll of film processed I had forgotten about. Unlike Loren, my pictures aren't pretty

All cacti I'm afraid! Just think, when I get my rolls back from last weekend, you guys will get to see Joshua Trees instead of cacti

    Oh, yeah, and one moonrise.

Excuse my crappy clone stamping and scanning skills, please!

    Re: Kinda like Loren,

    Hey Rick,

I like these, and you should send a couple of slide that you really like and I will scan them with the Nikon 8000. It does make a difference and I think it would bring out the true quality of your photos. Scanning Velvia is one of the toughest things I know... Years of practice for me.

You have good color and composition and I always find your shots interesting.

The 1st and last are great - especially the last - best moon shot I have seen in a while!

    Re: Kinda like Loren,

    Thanks Crew

Penny, more unpretty pictures in the wings, I promise

Loren, that's awfully nice of you to offer. I may have to take you up on that one of these days. I am looking to get my website up and running pretty soon, so I could use a real good scan of a couple of slides.

    Thanks!

I like these, a lot! The colours are nice. Are those little "things" stars? If so, how did they end up looking like that?

    Re: Kinda like Loren,

Thanks, Pyxel. Yes, those are stars, circling due to a long shutter speed (about 15 minutes) and the rotation of the earth while the shutter was open

Thanks for the info, I need to start experimenting with Shutter speed or maybe I should just re-read the manual that came with my camera
