    just a little experimenting

I just decided to play around with lighting because I was bored. I ordered some more lighting stuff, but I was just seeing what I could do with only one umbrella.

the ingredients for this are as follows
    3 light stands
    1 32" silver lined umbrella
    2 bb-200
    1 430ex
    3 radio slaves

Need my other umbrella and reflectors to get here....and my muslin backdrop should be done by tomorrow

my dad was the (unwilling) victim

the light ratios aren't nearly strong enough, but I was shooting into my umbrella at full power, and barebuld with the camera right strobe at quarter power. I didn't want to move the strobe back any farther for fear of shadows.

    Re: just a little experimenting

I know diddle squat about portrait lighting but this looks pretty good to me. Love it that you are out there trying so many new things. Your always willing to experiment and create. I applaud your efforts and your results.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
