    Just checking in

Hi everyone! Haven't been on here in ages, thoughts I'd see how everyone was doing and share what I've been up to the past several months.

Hope you're all well. Glad to see the forums got an upgrade!

How to tell the most experienced shooter in a group? They have the least amount of toys on them.

Great to hear from you again Sebastian, I always enjoy your images and this group is no exception. Excellent work as we have come to expect over the years. No way would I try to pick a favorite from this collection, love the deep contrast of the B&W's. Don't be a stranger, check in more often.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Wow - that's a hell of a check in! What a great bunch of photos! Love them. Looks like you're on a bit of a fisheye binge. What did you shoot them with?

I agree with Larry - don't be a stranger. I love this set of photos and I want to see more like them

Thanks OT! It's always nice to come by and check stuff out. I still shoot a lot, probably more than ever. It's just that stuff ends up on 500px and whatever other outlet easily integrates with it. I'm getting lazy as the years go on... :-)

    Thanks PJ!

You're right, the fisheye has really struck a chord with me. Everything you see is shot with the NEX-5. The first 7 shots posted were all shot with the Rokinon (Samyang) 8mm f/2.8 fisheye. Two of them were run through PTLens to get the ultrawide effect. The rest were a combination of the Nikkor 35mm f/2 and Sony 16mm f/2.8.

The lens in particular is a gem. $300 for a very compact and sharp f/2.8. I couldn't be happier. It's almost a shame that I crunch the hell out of these shots before I toss a whole bunch of grain at them, but it's nice to have all the detail if I do want to preserve it.

I'll try to peek in more often. Living in Chicago now presents me with lots more shooting opportunities than I ever had before.

Amazing work as always. You crossed my mind a few days ago wondering were you still shooting. I guess you answered my question. Nice to see you around again.

    Hi Greg!

Thanks for the kind words. I don't think I'll ever stop shooting. I might stop everything else, but not that....
