Ha! Thats a great setting. What do you carry with while out with the dog? Do you have a DSLR or a P&S? I'm thinking of getting a good p&s to have with me all the time.
The Lumix is in my head. . .

    Great Catch!
Did the dog want to chase?
I do find that the 'Joy to the World' is blocked off by a gate with no parking and stop sighn a bit ironic.

Very good capture. Rudolph looks a little perplexed. I also like the ‘pay to play’ idea of the gate and fence. – TF

Thanks, Gary. I had my 70-200mm 2.8L IS on my 50D for this shot. That is standard fare when I take my puppy to the dog park (the entrance is up ahead and to the left). But my usual walk-about set up is the 5D with the 24-105mm f/4L IS - an awesome combo, albeit a bit large.

I have a G9 but I can't get the results I'm looking for in low, ambient light shots. I bought my son an XS with the 18-55 kit lens earlier in the year. Haven't tried to "borrow" that yet

Thanks, Frog. No my dog is quite tolerant of all the deer (good with birds too - but wants to catch every squirrel he sees). While on trails, we often have deer take flight when we reach within 20'~30' of them hiding in the brush. He'll hear and see them but doesn't have the urge to give chase.

Yeah, the gate and signs do not exactly match the message of the lights

What a lovely and as Frog stated ironic picture.

Nice capture, I particularly like the way the morning light is giving the branches a painted feel.

Wonderful catch Loupey, sure pays to be prepared. You just never know what will pop up in front of you.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??
