    Inspiration

Looking at some of Julsoph's moody/foggy sunrises on Critique got me to looking at some of my own and getting some ready to print.
After finalizing this one I decided to try the Orton Imagery technique that mjs1973 showed us in the Critique forum thread. A Painted House
I think it enhances the glow in the image - do you think it's too much?
I really appreciate the inspiration this site and its denizons continue to bring.

    Re: Inspiration

Hi Chunk...thanks for the link to Michaels post. I found the article very interesting and something I feel would be great to practice. I like both of these attempts, very moody. Although #2 has that one area that is a little blown out, I don't think it is such that it distracts too much from the overall effect. Great first attempts.
Maybe this is something we can all try to capture at the Madison gathering in May!!! I plan on bringing my laptop and my DVD burner...hehe...Also, with the weather starting to turn nice...I look forward to getting some shots of you on your bike!!!!! Let me know if you are headed towards this neck of the woods and I will set my tripods up on the freeway and wait for you to ride by!!!!!! hahahaha

PS...just saw the 3rd (wider angle) shot...I really like this one...for some reason, I like blown out suns... and wide angle shots...anyway...all are gorgeous!!!
