    I'm a celebrity.

Not really, but I thought it was kinda cool. Free advertising never hurts. In the actual paper, they included 5 of my best photos, about 5" X 7".

    Re: I'm a celebrity.

Thanks, guys and Alison. Here are the photos that were included in the newspaper.

I went to church tonite and got a congrats from one lady and another one gave me a tip on where to find a kingfisher. I also got a phone call from someone wondering what kind of bird the house finch was. My father inlaw, from 30 miles away, called at 7:45 this morning and a friend of my mother, from the same town, called her at 7:00 this morning. It's been an interesting day.

I just received a call this morning from someone, about 5 miles from here, that gets Indigo Buntings at his feeders most days. He claims he has 2 males and he thinks 3 females, hanging around. I believe this article is really going to pay off.

Congratulations, Mike! That's a nice photo of you in the article. And you're right - free advertising can't hurt. You never know who might be interested. And it's not like you can't shoot other stuff, too. Maybe something interesting and surprising will come from this

    Re: I'm a celebrity.

I would just like to say THANK YOU, for everone's congrats and compliments. It means a lot. Now, if there was just some way to make some bucks off this publicity, besides my $3notecards.

I've been toying with the idea of pet photography. There is a pet photo studio in the metro area, about 150 miles from here. I was invited to stop in some time and take a look at the setup. They do a marvelous job. You can find them at bendaphotography.com. I love animals of all kinds and think this would be a lot of fun. But then, there is always the additional equipment purchase and rent of a suitable location. And, for a town of 12,000 people, would it be feasible? I have my doubts. Oh well, it never hurts to dream. Otherwise, I suppose I could expand my notecard business to 500 outlets. Whoa, that would take a lot of time and work.

    Anyway, once again, thanks.
