    I used to take photos

Long time no post, no hear, no time....

More tribute to Adina and Natalie, and others who parent, work, and still find time to take photos.

We just moved to a larger home in San Ramon, but now we have a hour commute each way plus I am training Max for field trials, and being a parent. Photography has suffered completely. Luckily I still have my super crappy cell phone camera and enough brain cells to click.

Alessandra just turned three months, and is growing up so fast. It's the coolest thing ever. In a couple of days we will have 4 generations of women on Karen's side of the family and we are going to do a formal portrait. I will make sure to upgrade to a bigger camera for that.

She turning over, doing a small crawl, and is laughing and gigiling all of the time.

Life couldn't get much better...I send my best to everybody as I am now a complete stranger, but still consider PR.com the best place for photo talk.

    Dear Loren,

Congratulations again, Loren - such a beautiful baby girl! It's good to see you around, and to know that you and your family are doing well.....that life is good. You are missed; it's always good to hear from you - you are part of our family here.

Please keep in touch as often as you can find the time. It will be wonderful to see the baby as she continues to grow. Thanks for sharing her with us.

    Loren!

I was just thinking of you the other day! I ran into an Alexandria, which made me think of you guys.

The baby is beautiful. How is Karen doing? Are you going to post the 4 gen photo when you have it?

So glad you all are enjoying life!

So good. I love that second one. The camera you have with you is the most important one. Camera phones are documenting our world right now. Glad you had one with you for these. And I'm looking forward to the 4 generations photo. That will be cool. I am very happy for you and your family.

Welcome to the world of Parenthood. Your daughter is beautiful, great shot. You'll find yourself branching off into all kinds of different photo worlds as she grows and you document your life together.

Get used to spending time in the car, after 17 years with my son and the last 11.5 with my daughter included, I've turned into one heck of a taxi driver.

Re: I used to take photos

    Hi Adina,

Karen and baby are doing great. Although Karen will be a lot better when she is able to stay home with Alessandra at the end of the year. We feel that having a parent at home will be better. It's really hard for Karen to be away from Alessandra. How can you blame her..

I sold almost all of my equipment to raise money, and we are selling our condo in Mountain View to gather more cash.

I will defitinely post the 4 generation photo on the board. I am excited that Alessandra will have the opportunity to meet her Great Grandmother too.

    Talk to you soon,

Thanks John... It's good to hear from you. You are right, it's the camera that you have with you is the most important. I've loved showing my daughter to my coworkers on my cell phone. My little photo album.

Are you making any bay area appearances in the near future?

I think Max is the dog...?

I have stayed home right from the start, and am still home for the most part. Wasn't until my youngest was in school full days that I started working more. Yeah, financially we would have been better off if I had a real job, but to us, it was so worth it.

    Good to hear from you!

ps...every time I get on a plane I think of the stories you and Karen told at dinner. My seatmate always looks at me funny as I'm chuckling to myself.

    OUCH! I know that hurt.

I'm glad things are going well. Apparently parenthood is agreeing with you.

If she's laughing and giggling all the time, then you are blessed! That is NOT the norm.

    ;-)

Can't wait to see more, and don't forget to include the wife (and yourself) in some of the photo's you post!

Parenthood is definitely agreeing with me. Good kharma is coming my way too. Ever since she has been born I've received more photography work than I can handle. In the next couple of months I will be published in a major California magazine.

I think somebody wants me to quit my finance job!!!

Tonight I should have a photo of Karen's family with Alessandra. My baby girl is very special and I am very blessed for her good health and warm personality.

    Hey Adina,

Yes..Max is the dog, and pretty soon we'll have Tess.

I'm glad that our stories make you smile... the Tiara ceremony will always be fond memories for us.

It would be cool if we could make it out to Chicago this year...
