I was putzing around in the park with my camera today...

And I think I came away with a few good shots! You can view them here. These are some of my faves, optimized, so softer looking than the actual images! Trying to figure out cool crops for some of the other images in the album.

Thanks! I took many shots, I was recovering from a migraine, so I didn't last long out there in the heat and humidity!

My friend Una breeds and releases butterflies around here. She said that when they did the massive spraying for mosquitoes, the spray also killed off butteflies and bees. So she's trying to replenish the butterlies again. I'm going to her buttefly garden this weekend - should be able to get some great shots of some unusual butterflies and can't wait!

Hi Janie...the butterfly image is top-notch, and as Frog said, pretty good for just putzing around. the 3rd image, spiderhouse, looks like it has some great potential, but the blacks look very clogged on my screen. Good stuff, hope you are migraine-free today. :-)

You know, I didn't even look at the links, just the butterfly.
I like your edited version of the roof..the twirl effect gives it that something.
I like the composition and light on the water lilley but it seems too soft to me.

Don't know why the shots all show up as links, except the butterfly. Someone who posts that way should be able to help.
