    I Met Villenadecorte!

Since Rebekah went to a bunch of trouble to set up the recent San Francisco Gathering, and I didn't even bother to show up, I decided I needed to do something for her. So last night I met her at an award-winning pizza place she knows and bought her some pizza. I also took her one of the few remaining PhotographyREVIEW.com T-shirts and photo book.

She was kind enough to let me take a picture of her. too. And I'm trying to repair my reputation as a terrible portrait photographer. So I was careful to take a photo that made her look good - which actually wasn't very hard.

Rebekah has big plans for more gatherings in California and I'm excited to have her onour side. Since Rick abandoned us, in the Bay Area, we've needed another busybody organizer. Rebekah even had gift bags at the recent gathering. They had coffee, a picture frame, and a CD she burned with San Francisco-related music. How great is that??! Let it be known that the bar has been raised for future gatherings.

Thanks, Rebekah! It was nice to meet you and I'm very happy to have you in the family.

    The PIzza

I love food. Really. I do.

Here's what ws left of our pizza. It was very, very special. It had no sauce - only a bunch of different cheeses and garlic. I don't remember all the ingredients. Maybe Rebekah can tell us. Anyway, it was delicious and felt very decadent, with no sauce or toppings and just a bunch of cheese. I think there's a law that you have to eat a salad with this pizza.

Thanks for introducing me to the pizza place. I am very happy to know about it. I think I actually saw them on TV once. I saw the big $10,000 prize check from the Food Network on the wall, and I watch a lot of Food Network TV, when I'm at home.

    Re: The PIzza

The lone piece. That's great. The cheese dribble really makes that shot!
You'd think after eating that pizza one hundred times I'd remember the ingredients.
Its called a "Brooklyn" / NY White. I know it has provolone and garlic in it.... but as to the other cheeses I cant remember.
John- thanks much for the shirt and book they are both very cool! I had an awesome time and can't wait to put together more gatherings.

    The Slice

Hey - we didn't leave that slice did we? I worried about that while I was driving home. I hope you took it. It would be a rotten shame to have left it. It would have made a great lunch. I wish I had it right now.

    White Pizza

Generally one of the most basic, and among the best tasting, white pizza generally has no tomato sauce. While considered a rarity among American pizza, it is very common in Italy.

I am so looking foward to LA, we are down to about 50 degrees here again today.

    WOW?!
You really went for it with the gathering Rebekah.

I think an SLC Gathering would be great. I'd try to go. Of course, I have a hard time making to much of anything, lately. But I'd like to. Plus, a lot of people have no idea how great the Wasatch Front is. I love Utah!

You and I could have a mini gathering in June at the Deer Valley NORBA.
Did you get my email about that anyway?
