    I Was In Italy

I was in Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy, last week. That's way up in the Dolomite Mountains, near the Austrian border. It was much more of an adventure than I expected.

    Neat!

I was not in Italy. So I'm very jealous.

    Casio Exilim EX-V7

Glad you like the photos. A good location definitely helps

The camera is a Casio test unit - the Exilim EX-V7. It's a 7-megapixel camera with 7x optical zoom, full manual exposure controls, a big LCD, and mechanical image stabilization. I haven't looked very closely at the image files yet, but I enjoyed having it on the trip. I shot all the studio tests before I left and you can check them in the Digital Camera Tests Gallery.

A full review is in the works. Unfortunately, the charger is in my lost baggage. And the battery is dead. So the review is on hold until I can get my luggage back

I like both shots but the first one gets messed up when that guy on the bike jumps over the fence.

I wish you'd suggested that while I was there! That would have made the photo complete.

    Re: I Was In Italy

    Welcome back John,

I enjoyed reading about the trip in your blog. The photos are beautiful. Were some of them taken with the Tokina 12-24?

Looks like you had a great time. Hope you get your luggage back soon.

    Liz
