    I finally got a DSLR!

    Hello everyone.

After lusting on the digital SLR sidelines for many years I finally received mine yesterday. Well, all I can say is I'm thrilled! No more take the film to get developed, get the prints back, scan some negatives, correct for color casts, remove all the dust.....
I took about eighty pics learning the ins and outs of the camera between yesterday and today and I still a ways to go, but so far I am very impressed with the image quality. These are a couple of obligatory shots of my nieces and nephew that were over today.

Thanks for looking and take care.

    Joe

Yeah, I went and got me a Mark III. I've been looking at that place in the Canon lineup for a long time (and saving for a long time). I almost pulled the trigger back on the Mark IIN but decided to wait. I replaced an EOS 1V film camera and I had gotten used to that kind of tank-like build. Thanks for looking.

Good looking kids, and a good job with the portraits. I hate to say you will still be on the computer enhancing your photos.

Great shots! The boy with his eyes crossed reminds me of my brother when he was little... hahaha. Great choice on the camera, I'm sure you're going to love it!

Welcome back Joe! It's great to see you around. I'm so glad you finally took the leap into the digital world. And you picked a winner! Congratulations!

You did a great job with the portraits. Since the children are beautiful to begin with, you didn't have to work too hard!

I hope you'll post more photos - it's really nice having you around again.
