I am in San Francisco right now!

Well, to be more specific, I'm in Mill Valley right now. But who's in the vicinity so I can imagine you out and about around me?

Of course, as I crossed the Golden Gate bridge I had to stop. It would have been sacriligeous not to.

So here's my take on the Golden Gate Bridge:

I don't know who this guy was or what he was doing, but he sure had the setup!

These are neat shots, Kelly, different than the norm of this oft-photographed area. That guy sure looks serious about his photography ... much more than a happy, weekend snapper, don't you think? :-) Looking forward to seeing more of this great city.

    And, ummmm

I'm in Foster City, at the office, right now. That's about half an hour from The City. I'll be going home to San Jose in a minute. How long are you going to be in the area? Maybe we can arrange to sit down and have a meal? mtbbrian happens to be in the area on business, too. Maybe I could get racingpinarello to make an appearance. Fill me in on the schedule!

PJ, you live in SJ?? My husband and I *loved* SJ and it's tops on our list of places to move in a couple years. Do you like it there?

I'm "available" in the morning tomorrow (Thursday) but have to be at Book Passage bookstore by noon. Then I'm at a (travel writing and photography) conference there pretty much 9 - 9 until Sunday evening. I'm around a bit on Monday morning, and have to catch my plane at SFO by 3:30 pm and return my car by 1:30pm. I could maybe do late morning coffee or breakfast on Monday, or drinks after 9-ish any night, earlier on Sunday. I'd tell you I was available tomorrow morning but I don't think there'd be enough time to arrange anything.

Yes, my schedule is pretty tight. :-\ But if you can make it work, I can do it. It's OK if nothing works out though. I'm sure I'll be back in the area again, with more time to make something work. Thanks for the offer.

the EOS MOUNT for the XL1 multiplies by 7.2x ;)

which would give you a focal length of 4220 (or 85x)with a 600mm lens..... but ADD A 2X and we are right back where I started.

we can't see the lens mount , so we can't tell if he added a TC or maybe even is stacking 2- tc's???

I would love to meet Loren and any others! I am meeting John this weekend.
I am in Dublin at Camp Parks..
My schedule "should be" fairly open this weekend, starting Friday night. I do not have a camera with me.. I know...:-(

I grew up in San Ramon, which is very close to Dublin. I know where you are at. We could meet at the Hacienda shopping area where there are several restaurants, or we could meet up with others in SF/SJ

My favorite Korean restaurant is near Camp Parks.

I LOVE Korean food! And the food here leaves a lot to be desired
Is the Hacienda Mall you are talking about, the one that is to the East of Parks just off Dublin Blvd?
I have access to a phone, could you email me a phone number so I can call you?
    Does tomorrow work for you?
    Thanks Loren!
