Hot Tubbing In The Snow

This was so cool. We rarely get snow here on the coast. When we do, it is usually flurries and the snow doesn't stick. The last time we had snow stick to the ground in Carteret County was five years ago, so this was a big deal for us.

So here are a few shots of the lovely and gracious Dawn and myself in the hot tub while it snowed. I know the composition sucks, but I wasn't concerned with composition - I was just trying to capture the snow falling.

Exposures were ISO 200 and f8 which gave me 1/40th second exposures. I wanted to make sure I captured the snow, but in hindsight, that gave me streaks of white. Next time I'll shoot for 1/60th to 1/125th. Maybe I won't have to wait five years for this to happen again...

Oh yeah, one final thing. This proves that there is not a bad time of year to come visit Mr. & Mrs. Speed!

It's just that when you posted the other thread with NUDE in the title no one gave this thread the attention it deserved.

I have to admit that the second one that showed a bit more of the lovely Dawn was my favorite of the lot.
