You may have noticed that I have been rather abcent in the last few weeks. Well I have been busy switching my system over to Mac, and learning the in's and outs of OS X. Honestly the bulk of my time has been spent transfering my image files over and figuring out a file system for them. I still not set on that point. This is way different than windows. Dealing with the images at the file level is a little more difficult and the preview program on OS X lacks the one feature in the windows version that made it so crucial to me. The next button. But these things are just slight problems, and I am sure that as I grow in my knowledge of Mac OS these things will all fall into place.

You Mac users out there could really help me out by sharing with me how you handel your image files and music files. And anyone looking to get rid of a copy of PS7 should contact me thru PM.

Mine is probably not the best way, but it's worked for me so far, at least for my style of shooting.

I handle photos the way you handle them on your website: in categories. I still think of file structure in the Windows 3.1 way: like a tree.

SO, my structure will be very much like this:

I pretty much just imported my file system from XP. Pretty close to what you have, except I have a seperate folder system for edited images.

Well damn, if I wanted to do my images in windows I could just use my PC that'ed run ten times faster that virtual PC ever could...

I want to use my Mac as a Mac.
