Oh! how beautiful she is! Well, you could name her "Molly" after Miss Molly here. ;)

She looks like a "Missy" or "Miss Muffet .......or you could wait until you see her personality and then name her appropriately.

    Too cute!

I'll pass on suggesting a name. I'm a dog person.

The first pet that enters this house, be it boy or girl, dog or cat, will be Necter.

Since you are so far away, you could probably use it if you wanted.

Re: help...what to name the kitty...

Our cats came to us from the Humane Society as Emmy, Finn, and Daffodil. We renamed them when we got them home:

    Emmy became Emma
    Finn became Phoebe
Daffodil became Sierra (thanks to DS)

Phoebe has since died. But Emma is now called "Little One", and we call Sierra "Squirrel". It just has to do with their personalities.

    Film vs. Digital

You only have two choices, as I see it.

    Velvia or Pixel.

    Which will it be?

You've got little kids, right? Make it something they can leanr to write fairly easily. Mo, rather than Mortimer.

Let the kids suggest names, and do your best to pick from what they suggest. Get them involved with the cat. That way it's easier to make them do litterbox duty. :-)

Re: help...what to name the kitty...

I really like marble, and nectar...Lady Marnalade is a close favorite at work...so far other than Miss wifflehauser III I'm still stumped...I'm also leaning towards little miss muffet...

which my husband shortened to muff and well the whole conversation got out of control....so I'll just leave it at that.

anyway thanks for your continued efforts in helping to name her...

we opted not to let the kids pick---since so far the responses have been

    3 yr old
"her name is kitty kitty and mine's Anastasia"

4yr old " let's call her newt---because our newt died and I killed the fish" "sorry mom I killed the fish"(long story)

    16 year old
    "I don't care"

"I was not trying to be shocking, or to be a pioneer.
I wasn't trying to change society, or to be ahead of my time.

OOPS...I'm late. What a cutie!!! I have one that when she was little, that is all that I seen....was the "M" between her eyes. I ended up calling her Miss Emmi.

    M - must be MALMESBURY
Or if it was a boy, MERLIN

Waiting to see how kitty grows up is fine, but they have to learn their name young.
OISTOPTHATRIGHTNOW and GERROUTOFTHAT are good practical names.
Get a copy of Pratchett and Joliffe's "The Unadulterated Cat"

    Our cats:
Loseley - mother of, well, quite a few.
Named for the tub of Jersey dairy ice cream she crawled into to lick out and clean (tortoiseshell shorthair).

    Rocky - her kitten.
Had "don't touch me" days and was a blonde of the cat world (ginger tom longhair).

Merlin - another of her kittens
Just magic, part Maine Coon (from across the road) we suspect (Grey tabby longhair).

    Rincewind - rescue kitten
Frightented of his own shadow at first, eventually took on Loseley for fun (silver grey tabby)
    PAul
