My camera died a couple months ago (Canon PowerShot A310), and needless to say, I loved it, did everything I wanted in a camera, took video clips along with pictures, and allowed me to have certain effects / features.

Well, needless to say, the camera is old, along with it being broken, and it's time to purchase a new one. Paying for college is a big downer for me right now, so I'm afraid I have to keep the prices low, about $350 or less. Obviously this is a bummer due to the fact most of the nicer top end cameras are about $500+.

I've been looking around, preferably at the canon's due to the fact I have had a great experience with them so far, and ran across this:

Canon PowerShot SX100 IS

It seems to be just like the older camera, a little smaller in size, but more features.

Here are some reviews which I think are substantial for the camera, and was wondering if you all would take the time to look and tell me if this is a good buy, or perhaps share a camera that you think would be better, thank you.

Thanks again for any help / input.
