Hello everybody, I'm from Mexico City :)

    Hi everyone.

I'm new to the forum, bought a Cannon A520 to take with me on the trails. I like to do a lot of mountain biking, and wanted a camera to take pics of people I ride with, scenery I find pretty or intresting, and sometimes just family/friends shots.

I really don't have many good pics, but I'm working on it.

Photo-John send me this way from mtbr.com (a sistem forum for mountain biking), so here I am and I'm liking what I'm reading.

So, I'm just puting some pics (one of me), and others from some rides.

This is from Chapultepec, which is a park in Mexico City.

This is a view to 'Valle de Bravo' from 'Monte Alto', which is a high peak where the parapentes launch from. This was taken with a Kodak camera..

    Cool!

Hey - I didn't know you were in Mexico City. That's cool. I've always wanted to ride there. I've heard the trails in the mountains are excellent but bit dangerous because of bandits. I'm sure having a local guide makes all the difference. And I saw the post about the mtbr Gathering in Mexico City. That should be cool.

The photos are great. You've got a good eye. I'm sure the people here can help you learn some new tricks. And your camera has a lot of features that will help you learn.

Welcome to the site! Glad to have you

You're our new best friend! ;)

Welcome, Roberto. I'm guessing you'll give a different slant to the discussions here, visually as well as in other ways...

Hey, is it too early to start planning a Mexico City Gathering???

Great scenery in your neck of the woods. I can see why you've taken up photography. Welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the welcome.... I'll try to give as much ... er.. post.. as I can, hopefully they will be cool. I'm just starting to play with the exposure, ASA and manual focus on my camera.

Some of my pics are blurry, but I think it's because I tend to move the camera when I press the shutter button. On the Cannon manual, they gave the advice to leave a 2 seconds delay between when you press the button and the picture is taken. I did some tests today in my room and it worked pretty well.
