    Hello

Hello everyone, thought I would stop by and see what this is all about. I just bought a Canon Rebel Xs and want to learn about digital photos. Just retired and want to get into a hobby, can't think of a better one than photography. So I will be trying to learn from you. Thanks!

    Re: Hello

    Hi, stan, and welcome!
Seems a lot of us have started using digital after using film for years.
Not much difference in the basics....just don't have to keep buying film and you can adjust your iso in the camera. Then when you get used to editing you can make em like you like 'em.
Ask questions, give opinions, and post pics. Friendly bunch here.
    Keep Shooting!

    Re: Hello

Hi stan and welcome to the forum. I'm with Frog as one of those who have started using digital after shooting film for *(*( years. Like you I am also retired (many years now) - one of those who was lucky enough to retire a bit early and photography of the digital variety has become my main hobby. Having retired from the IT business, computers are not foreign to me, just the Photoshop (Elements) etc, software. Still learning after 3 to 4 years and am now taking my hobby into shooting RAW. As Frog said, friendly bunch here and I also would say "very knowledgeable" as well. Don't hesitate to post questions (I don't) and you will find that you get responses from a number of very knowledgeable and experienced people.

    Cheers,

    WesternGuy

Hey Stan welcome aboard, as Frog, and WesternGuy said they are a great bunch here and have a wealth of knowledge that is willingly shared.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

I have no issues with you editing my photos
