    Hello!

    Hi,

My name is Carl and as a new member to this forum I thought I should introduce myself. I live in southern New Hampshire, and spend most of my free time riding mountain bikes with a little fly fishing thrown in every now and then.

I’ve recently decided to take up photography, feeling it would be a good fit with my passion for the outdoors. So, after about a week or so of research I picked up a Nikon D60 and can’t wait to get out this weekend to try it out.

Anyway, I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving and I’ll try to post a few of my first shots over the weekend, just don’t expect too much as I’m a total newbie at this.

    Cheers,
    Carl

    Re: Hello!

    Thanks for the welcome!

I did get a few minutes to play with the new camera today so I took a few shots of our 13 week old Doberman. She’s a tough subject as she doesn’t sit still for long, however I thought this one came out ok.

    Re: Hello!

Good looking dog. It's tough to get a focus when they are constantly on the move. I want one that has been trained to find good light, sit down and look cute. Not a chance. Your photo looks like the nose caught the focus instead of the eyes. About 90% of mine are like that. Love those ears, too. Below is our 10 month foster beagle with some serious ears. Keep shooting and let us watch the Dobie grow. - TF
