He stopped just short of his mom just to look over at me to make sure I'd seen what he did. It seemed like the camera flash just made him try harder. Nice to hear from you Tink, hope all is well down under.

I thought all the shots were priceless as the pride he felt in being able to walk showed all over his face and then when I got to that last one I thought it was beyond priceless.

Oh Wow! Larry, your photos are always interesting - and good. But this one.....well, it brought tears to my eyes. What a beautiful series. You captured a perfect moment in his young life. And he knew you were taking the pictures.....that last one proves it! Just amazing! What else can I say - except thanks for sharing it with us.

Thank you Liz. One of my greatest reward in photography has been the documentation of my family over the last 36 years. I now look back on it as my biggest and most lasting accomplishment in photography. And it is ongoing with the addition of grandchildren it has opened a brand new and wonderful edition to the family photo archives.

Beautiful series OT. Looks like you've got a ham in the family. I hope you keep sharing these family memories with us. Being a...mature...father of a little one, I know how wonderful ,in so many ways, these memories are.

Now yours are kind words. You have a series of great moment after great moment, these images will appreciate in sentimental value as the years go on. Sadly, I am only now starting to photograph my own family, even though I have thousand of images of strangers.

You nailed it Rick. Of the four grandsons he is the only blue eyed one. Maybe a little something extra in his stocking at Christmas.

    Re: And Heee's Off

You hear all the time how hard it is to explain what a great feeling it is to be a grandparent but until you actually experience it there is really no way to know. The last 2 1/2 years as our grandsons were being born and starting to turn into real people have been some of the most exciting and rewarding years Joy and I have spent. I will probably continue to bore everyone with images of the little tykes as they continue to grow and learn what this world is all about. So hang in there guys. Thanks to all those who have taken the time to check this little thread out. I really appreciate all your comments.
