As some of you know, I returned the Tokina 12-24 lens after a long thought-out process - I just couldn't decide if it was wide enough. Since then I've been wavering between the Tokina 11-16/f2.8 coming out in June or the Canon 10-22. After I got the news that Canon is increasing the price of their lenses next week - May 1st - by 10% I decided to take the leap and buy the Canon 10-22 before the price went up. I had posted the official news on the Canon forum yesterday.
This morning I discovered that every place I called that had this lens in stock yesterday were out today. I finally found one at KEH.com - a reputable dealer that I've purchased from before. They told me there is a surge right now on this specific lens, although they had five left a while ago. Also, other lenses are selling rapidly since yesterday's news, so I thought I'd post this information here. I know when I don't have enough time to scroll through the forums, I always check this one. Steve or Rick - feel free to move it.![]()
Since B&H & Adorama are closed until Monday and you can't order anything, it's hard to tell how long their Canon lenses will remain in stock when they open, so I thought people might like to get this info now.
