    Happy Memorial Day

Hope everyone had a fantastic Memorial Day weekend! We mostly worked and slept except for Monday when we went to one of our daughters house and cooked brats, burgers and dogs!!

The grandkids had a blast. And I had a blast shooting them. Here is one I really enjoyed. Hope you do to.

Please post some of your weekend shots and let us know what you did.

Thanks Ken.....what a wonderful shot! The image expresses the freedom we are so blessed to experience in this country.

Better late than never with my shot.....

    Re: Happy Memorial Day

We did the diet coke plus mentos experiment out in the middle of nowhere. As it turns out, the strength of the reaction depends on the volume of soda, the 2 liters worked better than the 24 oz bottles. After that, we used the bottles to make dry ice explosives. Just pointless fun, it was fun trying to capture the explosions. We struck goofy silly poses for the camera, holding up the broken plastic from the soda bottles. We cleaned up after our selves, as well, and managed to get several ticks throughout the experience. My son learned about liquid, solid, and gas, and why the combination of water and dry ice creates an explosion when in an air tight 2 liter container.

Alex - great shots.......I love flags - and other patriotic images......

Ambesol - Wow! how wonderful that you and your son had such a good time together. BTW, I went to NYC Sunday (Memorial Day weekend), and some of the Navy men were doing the same experiment on the deck of the Intrepid - and allowing the kids to take part. It was great fun!
