Golly gee. Guess who just became an "Award-Winning" photog?

Well, I just got the good word that two of my images shot for Lake & Sumter Style Magazine won Create Awards, a national (international, actually) trade competition sponsored each year by Create Magazine.

My July 06 cover of model Glori Fahey won a Gold award for Magazine Cover Photography, and my sunset shot of nearby Eustis City Pool won a Silver for Magazine Editorial Photography.

Right now I'm still kinda stunned, and while I've never been comfortable tooting my own horn, I really wanted to share the news with everyone here...

Some of you know I came very close to giving up photography as a career some years ago, and I am not exaggerating when I say it was finding this web site and becoming part of this great online community that motivated me enough to turn things around.

For that I thank you all...

Hmmm, Award-Winning Photographer Steven Paul Hlavac. Ah, there'll be no living with me now! :ihih:

Congratulations BIG TIME Steve! That's such great news. I'm so happy for you. It looks like you're really getting into the pro photography in a big way. The photos are deserving of the awards to say the least. Way to go
