    Going to pot

My friend Bruce is a potter who is becoming very good. Last night we set up a light tent to shoot some of his wares. The background was white posterboard and I applied the gradient in PS. I used a very dark orange for the gradient, thinking to have a little complementary color in it - is that a mistake?
Has anyone had slides produced from digital files who would care to recommend a company for doing that?

I'm not sure about the gradient - most photographs that I've seen of this type don't have a color to the background but there's very little here so it doesn't distract attention. Looks like he does nice work, I'm sure he'll do well.

I haven't had any 35mm slides made from digital but Photo Craft Imaging in Colorado does it. Other work there (they came highly recommended to me) has been great. At the bottom of the linked page, there's a link to the pricing page. Starts at about $12 per.

The gradient is a little unique, but I think it works. If anything, it brings out the ridges of the pot which aren't painted blue, which is a nice touch!
