    The genius of photography

Recently I stumbled on this documentary series on T.V. called, "the genius of photography". I believe its a BBC production. On my cable , it was on a channel called, "ovation Tv".
Has anyone else seen this series? If you get the chance, WATCH IT!!!! I Tivo'd about 4 of them and found them very interesting. Some shows they will highlight a certain photographer from past or present. Others were more of a general photography topic,...."The history of Photography", "inventions in photography", etc.
One of the shows was about a optical principle called, "camera obscura". Anyone else familiar with this or made one? I cant wait to try it myself!!

    Re: The genius of photography

I think someone else posted something about this show a couple weeks ago, but I haven't seen it yet.

If you are interested in the history of photography, I would highly suggest listening to Jeff Curto's "History of Photography" podcast. Jeff is a professor of photography at a community college outside of Chicago. He records, and then podcasts his lectures and discussions from his history of photography class. I'm currently listening to my 3rd semester of his class.

    Yes I posted about it.
Glad it's available worldwide - it is an excellent programme series.

No Ovation channel here. I think our best chance is if one of the pbs stations picks it up:cryin:
