    Frosted Fall Colors

It might not happen at all and if it does, it probably only happens once a year. So I hustled out on Thursday evening and got these.

Thanks, Aramando. Salt Lake *is* a great place. I only had to drive about ten minutes to get to the spot where I shot these photos. Utah is an outdoor photographer's paradise

I really dig the muted colors in these. I'm glad that running over your camera bag didn't stop you from taking photos!

These were taken before the unfortunate car / camera bag incident. And they were taken with a different camera, too. I actually ran over two camera bags and a tripod bag. The tripod and my backpack seemd to make it through ok. But the camera in the smaller bag has probably taken its last picture.

Very nice - we got some too. The last has some of that magic light.

Ouch! Sorry to hear about the gear accident.

Not of the fresh snow - I was traveling. I have a few fall color shots but kind of missed most of it this year .

That's a great challenge for us - what can WE find in ten minutes' drive from home?
If the traffic lights are against me I'll still be on the ring road by the BMW Mini factory ...

That last image is stellar. Great colors in the clouds.

Thanks! That's the one P&S photo from that bunch. The rest were taken with the Olympus E-P3 I recently reviewed (read the review). But that last one was taken with the Canon SX230 HS I had in my pocket when I was walking back to the car. It's a fine little pocket superzoom

I have long loved the landscapes of the American West. You have captured some of it beautifully. Thanks for posting them.
