    Flying Dogs

Yes, Timmy, there are places where dogs do indeed fly...

    Loupey,

These are GREAT captures! I love the action.....and your shots are so interesting. I enjoyed viewing them - thanks for sharing.

It's so good to see you around and sharing your photography at PR.

BTW, what camera/lens did you use - the images are very sharp.

Very nice, Loupey! I love fun doggy photos

You should have posted these on the Sports Photography Forum! Like Liz, I'm also curious about the gear and technique you used. Fast dogs are a tough subject to shoot.

By the way, I just shared this thread on our Facebook page

Thats awesome!! I am the guy in the green kneeling in the first shot. The dogs name is Bazooka, and its a fitting name.

These are awesome shots. Do you have anymore from the set? Would love to see if you got any of me and my dog, Bokeh!

    Bokeh - that's a great name for a doggy!

Thank you, Liz. People like you and many other regulars here are a great asset to the site and make it so user-friendly

Gear is an old standby: Canon 50D and EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS (version I). The camera is nearing 90,000 shutter actuations but no signs of letting up. Even with heavy field use for nature and wildlife.

His big boy name is "Peakview Wigglebutt Fuzzy Blur" but we call him Bokeh for short.

I cant post an image of him though, not enough posts I guess, but he is an Aussie too.

    Thanks, John.

Camera set to manual exposure, focus preset at specific spots unless they were running around in a pattern - for those I used servo AF.

COOL!!! What are the odds of that happening!?
I can see what other images I might have. But I got there late (3:15 and it started at 3) and that image was about the very first I shot. I will make it a point go again next year. I also photographed the sign of the club so that I can look it up to photograph other events.

I think you have to make ten posts before you can start uploading photos to the forum.

Ahh..ok. I was the first to do freestyle for the club so you might not. I did come back out later and play in the mini Toss and fetch competition. I dont remember if that was before or after the Daredevil jump.

I am a board member for the club and live in Grove City, friend me on FB (my first name is Jeremy and my last name is my User Name here, my FB pic is my Aissue catching a disc) and anytime we are doing anything close I can let you know. We always like to get pics of the dogs!

Yeah, we started the post count this spring. The spam was really out of hand and that was one of the things we did to try and shut it down.

I know how you got his big boy name.
My aussie is just Sadie but one of her nicknames is Vibro-Butt.
She might not have a tail but boy does her hind end vibrate when she's happy.

LOL Yeah the Aussie wiggle is great.

Funny thing is that the Wigglebutt in his name is actually his breeder. He was a cross from Peakview Aussies and Wigglebutt Aussies. Actually, both breeders are Mini Breeders and he "technically" is a mini. He just out grew it. LOL
