    Fish Tank...

Here are some pictures of my fish tank taken back in the last century with my early adoption of 'affordable digital.' I had a P&S APS film camera with a Kodak reader. For <$600, you could just drop a developed ($4 with no prints) APS cartridge into the reader and get a 4MP digital image at a time when 4MP cameras were $thousands. I later augmented the system with a Canon EOS IX Lite APS. To bad I never learned how to actually take pictures. - TF

That's a very beautiful and well done tank.. I've tried a couple times but I just don't have the time commitment to maintain a tank like that. Are you still in the hobby?

No, I lost interest a few years ago. Would like to start again as it was beautiful to look at - especially on the cold, gray days of a Chicago winter.

It took very little maintenance once set up correctly. For a 75 gal planted tank you need a very good substrate, about 500 W of fluorescent light (10 x 4ft bulbs), CO2 injection and minimal fish. You also have to feed it nitrogen, potassium, iron and trace minerals. It grows like mad. Those bubbles are oxygen being released from the plants.

Great color, looking at fish in a fish tank is so relaxing. S
