Thank you Leon, I’m also looking forward to participate in this forum. I see some great work on this site and I’m kind of shy when it comes to posting my work. Thanks for taking a look at my site, I know it needs a lot of work but it will suffice for now.

Welcome Christos. Glad to have you here.

PS - I just viewed your site, and I think the work is amazing. I've never really had a chance to do any work with people.

Welcome, christos. You have nothing to be shy about as far as showing your work. From what I saw on your site, you do very good work. I don't usually do much people shots preferring nature and landscapes. I do have a question, though. I will be doing my nephew's wedding in March. Do you ever do shooting during the actual ceremony, or do you do it afterwards?

    I hope the Quote works.

Thank you all for the kind words you’re all too kind.

Srobb, shooting during the ceremony depends on the house of worship and the priest / pastor performing the actual ceremony.
I try to market myself to a niche market, the Greek Orthodox communities in and around my area. The Greek churches I shoot in about five of them, do not have any issues with flash photography or photography in general during the actual ceremony.

I have run into different circumstances shooting Catholic weddings, mostly around no flash photography and no moving around during the ceremony. A catholic wedding is totally the opposite of a Greek wedding when it comes to photography. And it came as a shock to me during my first Catholic wedding.
Srobb, my advice to you would be to at least meet with the priest prior to the wedding day and find out what you can do and not do during the ceremony. This will allow you to at least be prepared.
Have fun shooting your nephews wedding, its very different then nature / wildlife photography, but I’m sure you will pull through. You never know this can open new doors of revenue for you.
    Good Luck

    Christos.

Depending on how they turn out, I may try to post some of what I get when I get it done. I do have one question; I shoot film so what would be best to use?

Srobb, without getting into which film is better, choose the manufacturer of your liking, just go with the professional portrait films. I personally still shoot a lot of 35mm film and I’m biased towards Fuji.
Any of the following will provide excellent results.
Fuji NPH or PRO 400H ISO 400
Fuji NPS or PRO 160C ISO 160
Fuji NPZ or PRO 800Z ISO 800

    Kodak Portra 160NC (Natural Color)
    Kodak Portra 160VC (Vibrant Color)
    Kodak Portra 400NC (Natural Color)
    Kodak Portra 400VC (Vibrant Color)
    Kodak Portra 800
