    Fire Engines

No it's not a land rover, though it looks like one.

That first one is great, front mount pump with a 4 inch suction (intake) and a dual 2.5 inch discharge. Weak by todays standards but a nice show truck indeed. Great shots. The hose couplings on the front are modern, is that truck still in service?

Lovely shots - have you got more details about the "Land Rover" look alike - did they use the chasis as the base...? Was this Goodwood?

Tyson, what should the fitting look like to be of that age?

    Re: Fire Engines

I have a 1957 American LaFrance open cab pumper, it has all brass Jones Snap fittings on it. All brass, most of the vintage fittings where brass. Due to budget short comings a few departments where force to use out of date fire engines for years, many still do. So they had to update there hose fittings to the more moder style.

ONly one answer to hand, yes it was Goodwood again.
Now that would be a great PR outing, wouldn't it?
