Wow - that is a fancy lens picture! I haven't used that particular lens. But I have a Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 and I love it. That focal range and aperture are a wonderful all-purpose combo. I think I use my 28-75mm lens more than any other.

Maybe you got the older version which is not macro...but then again mine really isn't either.

EX DG Macro is mine: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...goryNavigation

    Yours?

mine's the DG macro as well. It's pretty sweet. it's just that yours is a nikon mount so the lens is built different near the mount to account for the smaller nikon mt.

I have a Sigma 28-70mm f2.8 and I love it. It has become my mainstay since I switched to digital. (The 1.5X magnification factor) It probably gets used as much as my 80-200mm f2.8.

    Congratulations on your new lens!

    Re: Finally...It came

I took some pictures from basketball and wrestling, but it was lighting from 1950 so they really don't show off this lens

When I go back to the armory I'll get some nice shots. Before I was shooting with a Nikon 80-200 F2.8 and I couldn't get under the hoop because 80 was too far.

I might also be investing in some alien bees strobes soon with a friend I shoot with, if anybody knows anything about strobes, tell me so I can PM you
