Re: Film Baby!! - I love it!

I love the look! It is not any better or worse than your digi pics but I really like the "look" It really has a different feel to it.

We did our picture of the kids for the Christmas cards and we used film (on purpose)

Post a recent digi pic ( I know you have one handy) for a little side by side!

Disclaimer: I LOVE film. I am all about film. I will wrap a roll of film around my ring finger and get married in it.

That having been said, Adina I actually like your digital pictures better! They seem sharper to me. Although the film grain does look cool.

Does that make me a bad person? Golly I hope not.

Nice shots btw. My favorite is the second b&w conversion!

    Adina,
These are fantastic. I love them. What kind of film scanner did you use?

I've got a canon fs2720. We got it about 3 yrs ago, I think.

Rick, your not a bad person I noticed that too, about the digital ones being sharper. But, it was also much different shooting conditions, and not the best scan jobs. I have to work on that.

    Re: Film Baby!!

I'm a new lover of film too Adina. I went out and bought myself a Nikon F (N)90x just recently. Awaiting the results this very minute!!

A g'friend of mine is a pro photographer exclusive with film and she has a neg scanner. Something I plan to purchase as soon as I can. She gets the negs processed by a specialised b&w lab and then scans them all in on puter, chooses her faves and then takes the ones she wants back to be printed. Sounds like a lot of mucking around, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper.

Love your pics btw! Esp that one with the two little girls, soooo cute!

    Damn it Adina!

I had just sworn to myself that I would put my EOS 3 and Scan Dual up on ebay, because I could use the money for other things and they're just collecting dust, and then YOU have to go and post these!

    Great shots

    Adina,
Scanning...that is the main key. You have to learn how to use your scanner to it's best ability or the film scans will not show the strength.

Your lighting and captures are perfect. I would get used to the scanner and you will be happier.

Have fun with Ilford Delta 100...it's great stuff.

    Re: Film Baby!!

    Hello Loren!

Back in the day, the Delta 100 was mainly what I used for b&w. portra nc for color. I've got a roll sitting here that I'm hoping to shoot this week, and then it's back to playing with the scanner.
