    A few from the G12

    Picked up a Canon G12 about a month ago and had a chance to play with it last weekend by the Olympia Beer brewery in Tumwater Wa. All hand held or steadied on something. The Brick building in the first shot is the original brew house.
    Will be going back in the future to shoot with tripod and DSLR.

    Blown highlights in first 3, crushed shadows in last, fourth looks good but composition gives little reference for horizontal axis.

    I have the S95 with the same sensor and image processor. Have you tried shooting RAW? You can reduce some of the effects that Charlie mentioned in the RAW editor (though not at much as you could with a DSLR).
