The fastest three years of my life...

Ever since my daughter was born, life has taken on a whole new dimension. We got started training dogs, raising our daughter, and trying to keep afloat in today's economy. The loser was photography and we only did smattering of photography here and there, and most of it was on our cell phone cameras.

We finally took a step back, and we want to enjoy photography a lot more. Alessandra loves being outdoors and is already trying to take photos. We are down to one dog in the house, and the other puppy will be at a professional triainer, which should give us more time to take photos. I took some pictures of the new puppy this weekend in Oregon, and "saw" a lot of photos along the drive down.

Just bought a very old D1X, and it's a cheap way to get back into digital photography with some pro features.

Here is a little photo snapshot of what's going on with me...

I hope to share some new pictures in the near future that is not taken by my cell phone!

    Loren

First picture is of my daughter at 9 months
Second picture is of my daughter at 3 years. It seems like yesterday.
Third picture is my new puppy Grace
The last picture is Mount Shasta with my Blackberry Bold and a 2 stop ND Grad filter. As you can see, decent picture aweful resolution.

thank you Liz!!! it's good to be back.

That dog training is a real killer.

Are these wonderful family shots all with the D1X except as noted?

Looks like to me you are also going to need lots of running shoes to keep up with this lot.

Glad you are back and look forward to more, soon. Everybody grows up quickly, too quickly!

Once the photo bug bites the itch keeps coming back even when 'life' interferes for a while.
I think you have your priorities straight with the family first but no reason to not let that photo itch be part of it too.
    Nice shots.

The 3 year old daughter photo and the puppy photo are from the D1X. I have to say the color straight from the camera in RAW is a real pleasure to deal with.

The first photo was F6 with Velvia 100 shot at 80 asa.

I was looking at my large format transparency and almost had a heart attack. They are so beautiful. I gave my daughter one of my throw aways and holds it to the sky all of the time. She's a love!!

This photo is my Iphone Hipstamatic shot. The only reason I have an Iphone, and luckily work gave it to me.
