    Fashion Shoot

I did a fashion shoot a couple of weeks ago for a friend who has a Brazilian clothes shop in the (historical) center of Paris. No release to publish the shots here so I just include a link to the web site:

    http://www.sablechaud.fr/36443.html

Just the clothed ones, it's not the season for swimsuits. This is how I did it:

    1. Go down the week before, take a look at the place and develop some scenarios (8 we used 3)
    2. On the day arrive with just the right material (D300+16-85, lightweight studio flashes to make a temporary studio in the cellar and SB800 for other shots)
    3. Set up the studio
    4. Meet the models. This is the BEST PART. I always seem to get models who are not just beautiful but brilliantly intelligent as well
    5. Models get dressed with first garments, shoot in the studio
    6. Switch to outdoors and go shooting in the street, in the middle of the Sunday strollers with two 6 feet tall models..
    7. Back, spend some time in the shop talking to the customers then change to the next garments

It was a lot of fun.

    Beautiful work!

I love the 4th image, nicely framed in the door! 6 and 7 are also great! 6, excellent use of the flag as a prop.

    Re: Fashion Shoot

Thans for the feedback. I didn't want to use the doorway (shot number 4) because I found that the light was too contrasty. However the others liked it so I relied on the flash to fill in the shadows and it worked great.

I didn't do anything fancy. All the shots outside the studio were done with the D300 on Program mode and the SB800 in iTTL-BBL mode so the flash illuminated the subject (in particular the garments) without appearing to be present. The models knew what they were doing and required a minimum of direction so I had lots of fun.
