    Fall colors and snow

    I was out in the country Saturday during the October snow storm - here are a few shots that won't go in the article (shot with Olympus E-3.)

    No, it was too mushy. Plus, my press truck was part of the display, so they had my keys all day.

    That second photo is really pretty. Shooting falling snow is tough. I think you need a telephoto lens to do it. Did you have one?

    I have a 50-200mm - I did shoot some of this scene with it, but the flakes were really large, wet flakes, and I have a lot of big blobs in the foreground. I'll grab one tonight from home and post it here for comparison.

    It was snowing like crazy here about half an hour ago so I went out and tested my own technique. It works. I'll post some later, too
