    Eeeeks!

This is my most "favorited" photo from flickr and dA, so I thought I'd share it here as well.

This is my crested gecko, Derby when he was just a tiny four month old. The photo is a couple years old, so I didn't want to post it in the critique section, but feedback is still welcome.

Shot on a white Sterilite tub lid next to a window, with no artificial light. Shadows were cleaned up in Photoshop. Taken with the D50, and I think just my dinky 18-55mm I had at the time. He only weighed 4g and was probably no longer than 3 inches max including his tail, so I was pleased to get this without the use of a macro lens.

On a side note, I'm off to the San Francisco Zoo today, so I should have a lot of new pictures coming soon, I hope!

Oh my goodness! He is sooooooo sweet. He looks like he's smiling - well, he made me smile!

Thanks for sharing Derby. I look forward to seeing your zoo pics.

Incredible shot! I'd 'paint' him green in Photoshop and sell the image to Geico.
