you can add him to your ignore list by viewing his profile and clicking on ignore. It will not show his posts. This is only a temp fix until a admin can ban him and than delete him and all his posts.

Maybe it would be worthwhile considering expanding that list with a few more moderators? That way we can get rid of nasty stuff like this a lot quicker.

PJ has two mods per forum, that ought to be enough if they don't have jobs and work 12-hour shifts

Paul, I didn't mean that we need more moderators - I think we have sufficient (apart from the Sony/Minolta Forum ). I meant that more of the existing moderators should be empowered to get rid of nasty spam - from what AnotherView writes, at present it's just a couple apart from PJ.

There are a couple of Administrators on this site - John is the one we all know, but there are one or two others that don't post often who can ban members. As far as I know, they work for the company that owns the site. All of the Moderators are unpaid volunteers and not employees of the company.

Reporting the posts was the right thing to do (the little red triangle thing on the left), but one recent problem is that a couple of us (myself included) have been having trouble getting these emails. I did get a few of them over night, but not sure how many were reported. So, nothing's foolproof but this is the biggest hit I've seen since I've been on this site - which is about 10 years I guess...

And with finally some good weather, cycling and paddling takes precedence in my free time!
